Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) – Day Care Assistance

CCCAP in Chaffee County is able to help families that are at or below 165% FPL pay for their child care while they work. That means if a family of 4 gross income is at or below $3033.00/month you could get help paying for your child care.

CCCAP does not pay the full cost of child care, parents are required to pay a part, which is based on gross income and household size, and called parental fee, and then the County pays any remaining balance to the provider.

Child care Providers can be licensed or except from licensing, it is the parent’s responsibility to choose the Provider that is best for their children. If a Provider does not have a license, they will be required to pass a FBI or CBI fingerprint background check before CCCAP will pay them for their services.  Salida and Buena Vista Colorado Day Care Providers.

CCCAP also contracts with child care centers.

Parents have the option to take their children to whomever or wherever they feel is best for their children and family.

To find out if you might be eligible for help paying your childcare expenses, pick up or request an application from the Human Services office or click here CCCAP, complete and return to the office.  An appointment will be scheduled with a Childcare Specialist. Currently applications are not being accepted on line but they will in the near future.
